Throughout Term 2 plans were devised to enhance the outdoor learning space outside
Block 1. This space was previously home to our Anzac water feature and pond. Due to
Workplace Health and Safety, we needed to remove all water from the site. After
consultation with our staff and students, the decision was made to transform this space into
an outdoor learning space that also kept the tradition of remembering all of our servicemen
and women.
The outdoor learning space is now complete with new turf, sandstone seating areas, large
shaded learning space, Anzac memorial with rosemary plants and a shaded sitting area that
will also be used as our cenotaph on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
The children have loved exploring their new space and it is great to see so many classes
outside learning on these beautiful days.
A huge thank you to Paul our groundsman for all of his hard work and Peter Colson
from Kennards Hire at Brendale for supplying all the tools and equipment
needed.
