What can I say! The Albany Fair was a great success for a number of reasons. Firstly, funds raised will help us build our new Music Centre and will support the work of our parish. Secondly, all those who attended enjoyed the community spirit generated by the event. Thirdly, many of our former students, staff and parents enjoyed catching up and being reacquainted. The success of the fair came down to every person in our community who volunteered their time to work on the day, gave generously of their money at the fair, made many donations for the fair and created items to sell on the day. My sincere thanks to each and every family who helped in some way to make the 2017 Albany Fair a great success. A special thanks to our Stall Convenors for the time and effort you put into coordinating our stalls. They are the lifeblood of our fair and your efforts were enjoyed by all those who attended. Thanks to our logistics team who worked hard to ensure that the fair ran smoothly. This is an important part of the fair, that if it is not done well can cause things to slow down. Well done gentleman!
Special thanks to our coordinators David Kell and Eszter Cathcart for the many hours you have put into this year's fair. Your leadership, enthusiasm, expertise and hard work helped to bring everything together for a wonderful day. David and Eszter, you can be very proud of what you have achieved this year and over the last three years. I wish you both a well-earned rest as you leave these positions this year.
